Robbers Cave: Cattail Pond/Rough Canyon Loop Fall Pics

The 3.9-mile Cattail Pond/Rough Canyon Trail Loop at Robbers Cave State Park (near Wilburton, Latimer County) is a very scenic and enjoyable hike. It takes you through beautiful forested areas of the San Bois Mountains and by picturesque streams during the wet season.

Robbers Cave: Cattail Pond/Rough Canyon Trail Loop ā€“ 4 mi

The Rough Canyon Trail at Robbers Cave Park (Latimer County, OK, near Wilburton) is a very enjoyable scenic 3-mile loop. A variation on this hike I enjoy is to take north part of the Cattail Pond Trail bypassing part of the Rough Canyon Trail and making a 3.9-mile loop.

Hobbs: Hidden Diversity – Dutton Hollow Loop – 4 mi

One of the cool areas at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area (Benton County, near Rogers) is the Hidden Diversity Multi-Use Trail. This is a complex of loops and spurs designed for hikers, cyclists, and equestrians. Since it is designed for these multiples uses, it does not feature many steep parts.

Buffalo River Trail: Steel Creek to Steel Creek Overlook ā€“ 3 mi (o&b)

The Buffalo River Trail (currently) is an approximately 40-mile trail running from Boxley to Pruitt along the Buffalo National River in Newton County. There are several additional sections along the middle part of the Buffalo that do not connect with these initial 40 miles on the upper Buffalo.

Cossatot River: Harris Creek Trail – 3 mi

The Harris Creek Trail at Cossatot River State Park-Natural Area (Howard and Polk Counties) is a great intermediate level 3.2-mile loop trail with some very nice views. There are some steep parts, but they do not last long. The trail is also dotted with benches so you can rest after a steep climb.
