I really like your website. It’s my main source for hiking info in northern Arkansas. Can I ask a couple of questions? Going to the twin falls at Richland creek,is the road to the old cemetary the drive that has a mobile home in it also? And to go to Big Creek falls, is all the land you cross over part of the National forest?
Dennis. Thank you for the nice feedback and I’m glad you find this as a helpful resource! In answer to your first question I’m not 100% sure but I think that’s the road. I haven’t actually been to the falls from the Hill Cemetery route but I believe that rough dirt/mud road down is the route to the Cemetery.
And for Big Creek Cave Falls, all of the last is National Forest land. There is some land that is farmed there (bailed for hay) but it’s not private property so is safe to cross.
We hiked the Cedar Lake as well as the Robbers Cave Rough Canyon trail. Thanks for the great documentation on all the trails. Had the parking lot at Robbers Cave not been packed we would have seen the very clearly marked trail head for Rough Canyon opposite the parking lot bathrooms in the parking lot itself. Otherwise great views and a great hike. We started out of Red Oak on for both of these two trails so we had a bit of driving to do. Thanks again.
Thanks for the kind words Jason! Glad it was a good hike!
