Today, I got to hike to Hemmed-in Hollow Falls in the Buffalo National River, about 20 miles southwest of Harrison, Arkansas. I made the trek via the main trail from the Compton Trailhead. Tall Peak Trail is one of the cool trails near Shady Lake in the Ouachita National Forest, southeast of Mena, Arkansas. This afternoon, I was driving through the Ozark National Forest, and I stopped by the Haw Creek Falls Recreation Area in northeast Johnson County, Arkansas. Haw Creek Falls is right next to the campground. It is a very pretty waterfall even though it is only about 6 feet tall. Continue Reading »
