Mount Nebo State Park (Yell County, near Dardanelle and Russellville) is a beautiful place. This loop covers two of the trails on the mountain. It’s a short hike, but it’s vigorous and pretty cool. Robbers Cave Nature Trail is a pretty cool .4-mile loop trail at Robbers Cave State Park (Latimer County, Oklahoma, near Wilburton) in the Sans Bois Mountains of southeast Oklahoma. It’s a must-see if you’re in the area. The trail goes around and over some really cool rock formations, including the namesake Robbers Cave.

This is on Winding Stair Mountain (Ouachita National Forest, LeFlore County, Oklahoma). It’s easy to get to, and it’s an enjoyable scenic hillside walk […]
Overlook Nature Trail at Lake Tenkiller (Sequoyah County, Oklahoma) is a pleasant 1.1-mile wooded hike along the south end of Lake Tenkiller. It’s a scenic walk and during leaf-off has quite a few views of the lake. The total out-and-back hike is 2.2 miles.

This 2.2-mile segment of Section 1 of the Ouachita Trail (Ouachita Forest, LeFlore County, Oklahoma) runs from Forest Road […]
