Along with the Yellow Rock Trail, the Devil’s Den Self-Guided Trail is a trail you must see when visiting Devil’s Den State Park (southern Washington County, Ark.). There are wonderful rock formations and a great seasonal waterfall on this 1.2-mile trail. It is not a difficult walk. The elevation change is only about 100 feet. Continue Reading »

The Rim Trail at Mount Nebo State Park (Yell County, near Dardanelle and Russellville) is one of the prettiest trails in Arkansas with amazing views from nearly the entire trail. The Buzzard Roost Nature Trail at Lake Tenkiller (northwest Sequoyah County, Oklahoma) is a pretty 1-mile loop on Cato Creek. Although there are no blazes, it is not hard to follow the trail. Mount Nebo (Yell County, near Dardanelle and Russellville) is one of Arkansas’s most scenic state parks. The Rim Trail, a 3.2-mile loop around the triangular top of the mountain, is a great way to take in its beautiful views. The March 24, 2015 pics in this post are all of the east side of the trail.
