Pigeon Roost Trail, Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area.

The Pigeon Roost Trail at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area (Benton County, near Rogers) is a great place for day hiking. This is the largest state park in Arkansas, and it has miles of great hiking.

One of the park’s highlights is the Pigeon Roost Trail. It is a double-loop (figure-8) with a short initial spur. The first loop is the Dry Creek Loop. The Huckleberry Loop is a little further on. There is a .6-mile overlap between the loops.

Some people just hike the Dry Creek Loop, about a 4.1-mile hike.

My recommendation is to do the outer loop of the whole trail (i.e., skipping the middle overlap) for an 8.2-mile hike.

My full profile of the Pigeon Roost Trail is in this post.
